By car

For those coming from the south of the country, there are two ways to get to Poiana Brasov:

1. Through Brasov, on Drumul Poienii, 12 km from Brasov city center, around 15-20 minutes.
2. On the route Predeal – Paraul Rece – Rasnov – Poiana Brasov, which is 40 km long and takes 40 minutes. For this option, at the entrance in Predeal, immediately after the bridge, turn left at the road sign towards Rasnov. Pass through Paraul Rece resort to Rasnov. Once you arrive in Rasnov, follow the direction Cetatea Rasnovului – Poiana Brasov.

By bus

RATBV line 20 runs regularly on Brasov – Poiana Brasov route, departing from „Livada Postei” station – near the historic center of Brasov. Buses leave for Poiana Brasov every 20/30 minutes. The route takes about 20 minutes. Arrival in Poiana Brasov is done at the only existing station in the resort, „Parcarea Mare”.

By taxi/Ride sharing

Traveling by taxi from Brasov is affordable, a ride from the center of Brasov to Poiana Brasov takes about 15 minutes.

By bike

To reach Poiana Brasov by bike, the most accessible routes start from „Pietrele lui Solomon” and are known as „Drumul vechi” and „Drumul forestier”. „Drumul vechi” was used by motor vehicles until 1966, when the road starting from „Livada Postei” was put into use. Currently, it is used as a tourist route. It is a very popular route among locals and tourists who want an easy walk from Brasov to Poiana Brasov. The route is approximately 3.5 km long and can be completed on foot in 50-60 minutes and by bicycle in approximately 30-40 minutes.

Ana Teleferic company provides the cable transport in Poiana Brasov and maintains the cable cars in the resort.

The Kanzel cable car connects Poiana Brasov to „Varful Cristianul Mare” of the Postavarul massif. The journey takes 7 minutes and the capacity of the cable car is 43 people.

Capra Neagra cable car covers the route Poiana Brasov – ”Varful Postavarul” in about 8 minutes and can carry 60 people at a time.

Postavarul Expres cable car is the newest cable transport facility in Poiana Brasov, it covers the route Poiana Brasov – Yager Chalet in approximately 8 minutes, it has a capacity of 8 seats and the possibility of transporting 2,200 people per hour. It serves the slopes of Poiana Brasov, but also the mountain biking or hiking trails.

Bradul, Stadion, Subteleferic, Ruia, Kanzel ski lifts and the Ruia, Lupului chairlifts serve the slopes in the winter season, offering easy access to ski and snowboard trails.

The multi-storey public car park in Poiana Mica offers 434 parking spaces. With the „park & ride” system, you can park your car (at a rate of 2.5 lei/hour) and travel for free by bus to Poiana Brasov (lines 20, 60 or 100). In addition, the parking lot has 2 machines for purchasing ski passes, offering an efficient solution to avoid crowding in the resort. Parking hours are 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

There are other parking spaces available in the resort, such as the ”Parcarea Mare”, ”Sura Dacilor” parking lot, ”Club Rossignol” parking lot, etc.
